CIBC didn't want a bank office in India. They wanted their global standard, built in Hyderabad.
The Brief
CIBC required a GCC workspace in Hyderabad that maintained the design and brand standards of their international offices while addressing the specific operational needs of a 24/7 financial services capability centre. The brief asked for a premium front-of-house, enterprise-grade workfloor, and a concierge model that would make the building feel staffed and serviced, not just occupied.
The Challenge
1,30,000 square feet with a client whose baseline reference was their offices in Toronto and London. Every finish decision was benchmarked against international standards. The 120-day window required all bespoke elements to be pre-manufactured so that site time was install-only, not fabrication.
What we designed
Designed to the five conditions of the Performance Climate.
Ground
Marble flooring and high-specification stone finishes throughout the client-facing areas to maintain the premium register the brand required.
Air
Acoustic planning separating the open-plan workfloor from the client suite, concierge and meeting cluster.
Light
Sculptural pendant lighting in the reception and café zones breaks from the standard commercial luminaire specification — the lighting plan reads hospitality rather than office.
Flow
A distinct concierge model: visitors and members enter through a staffed arrival zone before reaching the working floor, mirroring international managed-workspace protocol.
Focus
The workfloor was designed for 24/7 operation with controlled noise zoning and lighting that can transition across shifts without disrupting adjacent zones.
What we built
The reception counter, concierge desk, café bar and all joinery elements were pre-fabricated at Jigani and installed to site on a phased schedule that kept the build running without waiting for long-lead external procurement.
