PNC didn't want a banking floor. They wanted a workplace that didn't read like a bank.
The Brief
PNC Financial Services needed a large, enterprise-grade GCC floor in Hyderabad that carried the weight of a global financial brand without reading as a conventional bank interior. The brief asked for high-density workstations, a range of collaboration and focus spaces, and front-of-house that would make visiting clients and incoming hires feel they were entering a genuinely premium workplace.
The Challenge
1,30,000 square feet. One design-and-build mandate. A 120-day window that could not move because it was tied to a phased hiring commitment across the GCC. Every design decision had to be made with the build schedule in mind — nothing that required long lead times or bespoke offshore procurement.
What we designed
Designed to the five conditions of the Performance Climate.
Ground
Ergonomic benching with privacy screens, warm timber joinery and soft lounge zones to support both heads-down work and informal review.
Air
Acoustic zoning separating the open workfloor from the phone-booth and meeting cluster, so noise from collaboration zones did not carry into focus areas.
Light
Full-height perimeter glazing prioritised for the open workfloor. Interior zones specified with circadian-tuned artificial lighting to sustain alertness through a long working day.
Flow
Twin-lobby reception with distinct client and employee arrival paths. The internal stair connects floors without pushing occupants to the lift core.
Focus
Phone booths and enclosed focus rooms distributed within the workfloor rather than concentrated at the perimeter, so every team has quiet space nearby.
What we built
The joinery, reception desks, workstation screens and partition details were manufactured at our Jigani facility and shipped to site on a schedule we controlled. No third-party procurement on the primary fit-out elements — which is what kept the build inside the 120-day window.
